Still Haven’t Done Anything with Social Media? Why Not?

OK, I’ve completed a series of articles over the last several weeks about how to set up and maintain a social media program.

I’m not saying it’s easy but it’s doable.

There are tougher things in life.

Now, let’s talk about some of the reasons that you’re not using social media to help either your business or your career!

Since I’ve been in business, clients and prospects have given me what I call the “usual suspects” as reasons for not using social media.

You’re probably not surprised to learn that time constraints, difficulty in learning, not being worthwhile, expense of implementing, and “What’s social media?” are what I hear.

Let’s discuss each of these.

First, time.

Yes, we’re all time crunched but social media is not going anywhere and is only going to get bigger. When will you make time, when it’s too late? I’ll bet people used the same excuse when the telephone first started to roll out.

Second, difficulty in learning.

You mean to tell me that you’ve either started your own successful business or you’re managing a high potential career and you can’t handle something that kids are doing every day and are self taught no less? I don’t buy it!

Third, not being worthwhile.

I’m not even going to touch this one. People who use it haven’t been paying attention and I can’t help them.

Next, too expensive.

Nope! A lot can be done with social media to achieve results for either free or near free.

Finally, what’s social media?

I suggest that these folks contact me and we talk. I can help!

We can always make excuses but that’s just what they are excuses.

Expose them to the cold, hard light of examination and they fade away quickly.

Do your homework and see for yourself!

Meet with me or another practitioner.

Talk to others whom you trust and see what they’re doing.

Look at what your competition’s doing. (Trust me, they’re doing something.)

Or, just do some research on Google!

Just do something!

You’ll be glad that you did!

That’s it for now!

Also, never forget to reach out to either ask questions or to ask for help from someone like myself!

In the meantime, thank you for following and reading my blog!

I look forward to any and all comments that you may have. I will reply to any comments made to this blog post as promptly as I can.

And, remember!

I do this for a living and if I can be of any assistance to either you or your organization, please feel free to call on me. Our initial discussion will be of no charge to you.
