People tend to be on social media for one of two reasons, personal or professional.
(If anyone can think of other major reasons to be on social media I’d love to hear them!)
In this article, I’m going to talk about the latter reason.
As far as personal reasons go for being on social media, as long as you’re enjoying yourself and being respectful of others, knock yourself out.
Professional, however, is different and can have adverse consequences on your brand which can cost you money if youdon’t know where you are on social media.
Let’s discuss this!
Probably the most important reasons to know where you are on social media are knowing who your community is, where to find them, and are they the right ones for you.
Next up is how is your community responding to your content and engagement.
Is there interaction?
Is your community growing?
Or, is it deathly quiet?
Finally, knowing what you have to improve (We always have to improve!) on your social media and the need to adapt to the changing environment that we’re in are the last reasons to know where you are on social media.
How do you know where you are on social media?
First, have a plan, a social media program.
Next, track your metrics.
Then check out your competition.
Finally, stay at it!
I recommend daily check-ins on your social media.
But, if that’s not possible for you then do so weekly at a minimum.
If you’re looking to enhance your brand with social media, make more people aware of you with social media, and make money with social media then know where you are on social media!
Work at it and stay with it for the long haul.
Trust me, it’ll pay off for you!
That’s it for now!

Also, never forget to reach out to either ask questions or to ask for help from someone like myself!
