Tagging?
I sure hope that you’re not saying that because tagging is a very important part of social media!
Let’s talk about that!
OK, just in case, you don’t know what tagging on social media is, let me tell you.
Tagging allows linking to another profile, page, or group on a social media channel.
This is usually done with the “@” symbol.
Simple, right?
Then why do so many people not do it?
Beats me, all I know is why tagging should be used.
Tagging allows the person or entity that you’re mentioning to be notified that you’re doing it.
Tagging also allows the reader of your content to easily connect to whatever it is that you’re posting about.
This is why we call it “social” media folks!
We’re letting others know that we’re including them in the conversation and we’re making other content readilly available to others.
This will help your exposure as more people become aware of you and your content.
Tagging should be part of your engagement strategy.
You should be taking advantage of every tool and opportunity presented to you on social media to get your message across.
Tagging is one very good way to do this and shows you as a power user on social media.
Try it!
That’s it for now!
